Race information

Athens Marathon course offers a unique experience to every marathon runner. It is run on the authentic course! It is the course of the 1st Modern Olympic games in 1896, the one used also for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. The marathon race starts from the city of Marathon, the runners run around the Marathon Tomb and finish inside the historic Panathenaikon “Marble” Stadium, a venue that provides the chance for more than 40.000 spectators to cheer the finishers at the finish line.
